Getbold, an innovative startup led by Zach, a passionate Bitcoin maximalist, sought to create a platform that redefined security and trust in Bitcoin transactions. Designed “by Bitcoiners, for Bitcoiners,” the platform aimed to be a highly secure space for users to buy, store, and manage their Bitcoin.
The challenge lay in crafting a design that was as intuitive and minimal as it was reliable, ensuring users felt confident navigating complex multisig wallet technology. Building trust through simplicity was paramount, requiring a UX approach that eliminated confusion and empowered users, even those less familiar with the intricacies of Bitcoin storage.

Recognising the technical complexity of multisig wallets and cold storage, we worked meticulously to distill these advanced features into a clean, intuitive user experience. Every interaction was designed to reduce cognitive load, ensuring users could easily navigate high-security features without fear of mistakes that could compromise their assets. Key flows, like wallet creation and key management, were simplified with thoughtful UX patterns and clear, guided instructions, eliminating potential pitfalls.
To bolster trust, the visual language was intentionally transparent and professional, featuring a neutral yet modern colour palette that resonated with the Bitcoin community’s ethos. Custom illustrations and subtle animations provided clarity, visually representing abstract concepts like key signing and collaborative custody. This elevated the platform from merely functional to deeply engaging, fostering user confidence in Getbold’s commitment to security and usability. The result was a platform that didn’t just meet the needs of Bitcoiners but set a new standard for trust and simplicity in Bitcoin storage. By combining cutting-edge UX with a deep understanding of the community’s values, we empowered Getbold to confidently deliver on its vision of creating a secure, user-friendly ecosystem for Bitcoin transactions.
